Listening to and making sounds
In phonics we have been listening to different sounds and playing lots of different sound games. We explored the different sounds that instruments make and played them in different ways. Playing loudly was the most favourite way to play!!!

Sewing
This week we have been using threading and simple 'sewing' techniques. We practised threading ribbons over and under some wire racks to begin with. Next we have sewn ribbons, wool or thread through a template to make the first letter of our names.

Making new friends and having fun
The Ducklings have continued to have fun making new friends, sharing and playing nicely together in their first week at school. We are very proud of them all.

The Ducklings have been learning how to put their puddlesuits and wellies on and finding out where they belong when we are not wearing them.

Enjoying our school lunches
The Ducklings are getting used to the lunchtime routines and knowing what they like from the school menu. They have been showing us how carefully they can carry their trays and use their knives and forks. Well done everyone!

Our first day in Ducklings
The new Ducklings have had a lovely first day and the sun was shining for them! We were all so very proud of them for how well they came into school. Well done everybody!
