Plank problem

We had to solve the problem of helping the animals get around the'flooded' farm. The animals could not walk on the ground! But had to move around the farm by walking across the planks. The children had to work together to think about where to place the different sized planks.

*A Volcanic Eruption

*Doves navigate using angles and degree turns

Today, the children have navigated a partner to reach a goal. They had to use directions including quarter, half and full turns and their corresponding angles. The children really enjoyed 'programming' their partner to reach their destination whilst avoiding obstacles.
