Throwing and Catching

One of our outdoor activities this week is to practise our throwing and catching skills. I have to say we do have some children who are very good at it!

The children then had a go at bouncing a ball, this was a lot harder!!

Body Percussion

Today we have been seeing what different sounds we can make using our bodies. We used our feet to stomp, stamp and tap.

We have been very busy sorting shapes.

Little Chicks and Ducklings Den Building

We had lots of fun this afternoon out on the field den building. The children used poles and connectors to create a frame which they then covered with a ground sheet.

This week we have been learning how to use a pair of scissors safely. It can be a tricky task to cut along a line for little hands! Little Chicks have tried really hard and quite a few have mastered the skill. We all still have all our fingers too!!!
