Owls Roman Day

During our Roman Day on Friday 21st April, the children across all three classes took part in a carousel of activities in the morning. There was Roman Road Building with Mr Cooper, Roman Shield (or Scutum as it was known in Roman times) designing with Mrs Harding and Moasic Art with Miss Howarth. 

In the afternoon the three classess came together for OAA (Outdoor Adventure Activities). We found Roman Numerals around our school grounds and as a team had to answer mathemtaical questions based on the Romand Numerals we had found. We also had a Roman Road obstacle course where we had to guide a blinfolded friend whilst looking for clues. We then had to read facts about Roman times which were scattered around the MUPA and answer questions about what we had read.

I enjoyed doing the mosaics on roman day , my favourite thing from OAA was finding all of the roman pictures and the skills you need you need in OAA are to listen , help out and be a team player !

I liked doing the mosaic art using pieces of coloured card. Also I enjoyed the blind fold activity going around the obstacles. I needed to trust my partners Harry and Marcus.

On Roman day I made a mosaic owl out of paper. In OAA we played a game and my team won.

I enjoyed making our tiles and running round finding out interesting facts about Romans. Me, Sam and Archie, Robin, Jake and Richard worked together to complete the obstacles course whilst blindfolded.
