Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday.

On Thursday mornings Miss Clarke has her PPA so Mrs Hicks will be teaching us. 

Summer 2026

This term, we will be exploring a range of exciting topics across our subjects: in Maths, we will focus on understanding time and decimals, including telling the time, solving time problems, and working with decimal numbers in contexts such as money and measurement; in English, we will develop our narrative writing skills by creating engaging stories and using a wide range of vocabulary to make our writing more descriptive and interesting; in History, we will study the local history of Poulton and Carleton, learning about how these areas have changed over time; and in Science, we will focus on plants and animals, exploring different types of living things, their habitats, and how they grow and survive.

Spring 2026

This term we have lots of exciting learning planned, including our Spring production! In maths, we will be developing our understanding of fractions, including recognising, comparing and using them in different ways. In English, we will be reading and writing explanation texts, learning how to clearly explain how things work using the correct structure and language.

We will also be exploring Ancient Greece, discovering what life was like and why this civilisation is still important today. In geography, our focus will be on Europe, learning about its countries, landmarks and key features.

We will also be taking part in outdoor learning as we get ready for spring, making the most of the changing season. 🌼 Plus lots more exciting activities and learning opportunities to look forward to throughout the term!

Homework will be set every Friday via Dojo, this will include: spellings, reading, timetastables and TTRS. Our spelling test will be every Friday.

Autumn 2025

This term, our main topic we will be learning about is the Egyptians.

We will also be learning about states of matter, the water cycle and Hinduism.
