Rainy Days
Today was a particularly rainy day, and a great opportunity to practice putting on and taking off our puddle suits and wellies. The children had great fun splashing and exploring in the wet.

Beach Day
Beach day proved to be a big success. The children enjoyed a range of summer games on the field and water fun on the playground, topped off with delicious ice creams. A fantastic way to end our topic.

Sea Life Centre
We had such an amazing day to the Sea Life Centre this week. The children not only got to touch and handle some of the sea creatures but also got to learn about conservation, breeding and ways to protect our oceans.

Magic Moments
The children were facsinated this morning when they noticed the reflection made by a geoboard onto the floor. Chloe said, 'IIt looks like a glittering sword fish who's had its tail bitten off!'

World Music Day
We have taken part in marking World Music Day today in Ducklings. We have been choosing and singing the songs we love, learning some new songs related to our topic and playing instruments to accompany. The children have loved performing 'You've got a friend in Me' during a whole school sing along.…

Sun Safety
Today we had a visit from the district nurse to teach us all about the importance of staying safe in the sun. The children learned not only about applying sun cream regularly but about covering up in the sun with hats and t shirts, drinking water and seeking shade when it's too hot.

Making Patterns
In Maths we have been exploring the different ways we can create patterns. The children have thought of some very original ways to make patterns, including using musical instruments to follow a sequence and using our bodies to follow a movement pattern.
