Hawks go to Poulton!

We made our way to Poulton, through the drizzle and the wind.

Firstly, we went to Poulton Library and heard Viking facts and played guess the book character. We were then chose a book we wanted to borrow from the library.

After the library we went to St Chad's Church to hear all about the Christmas story.

We ended our day by finding out about our local area.

What did you learn today? What did you enjoy the most?

I learnt that there wasn't actually three wise men and we know that because the bible doesn't actually tell us that. I enjoyed the library the most because I enjoyed sharing and reading books.

I learnt back then in Poulton if they stole or did something bad they would get hung up with a rope and get whipped. I enjoyed everything today!

I learnt that you could go online to renew your books.
I learnt that there was not actually three wise men in the nativity.
I enjoyed walking around and working out how old shops and places were in Poulton.
I also liked seeing which shops are chains and which our local.
My favourite part of my time in Poulton was going to the library.

I learnt that there wasn’t exactly three wise men in the Christmas story. People just assumed there was. I enjoyed playing guess who in the library and picking out books to borrow.

I loved our trip to Poulton it was so fun, my favourite part was town study because I got to learn all about our local area. I learnt things about the nativity and what kind of things happened in church!

I enjoyed the library most of all because I love reading and I picked out a baking book because I love baking. I also loved the church because I like looking at all of the names on the pews and the boxes. I know that Miss Hardman has a box with her name on it and Gracie has three boxes and a pew! I don't have any boxes because my name comes from Leicester. I also enjoyed the town study because my group looked around the churchyard and the clock kept chiming when we were there. I actually came up with a story based on my experience in the churchyard. I loved going to Poulton and even the walk was good fun!

My favourite part of the trip was, going to the library and picking a book out. I also liked it when we got to explore the area and find out new things we didn't know before about the towns history.
