2D Dinosaur shape pictures
Little Chicks have designed their Dinosaur picture using shapes. They chose different shapes to represent the body, we named the shapes as we went along and recapped on unfamiliar shapes.

Language initial letter sounds
This week Little Chicks are looking at the initial letter of words. We placed picture cue cards on the floor the children had to place the card to the correct initial letter on the chalk board. This week we are looking at the letters, a, t, i, p,n and s.

Little Chicks have been creative making 3D models of Dinosaurs. They chose parts of a body, then painted the parts of the body, finally joining it together.
We have put them on our display board, eventually to go home.

Little Chicks have been looking at comparisons. They were shown different sized Dinosaurs and asked to place them in size order.
Little Chicks took turns to place the Dinosaurs in order, we learnt language to explain size.

Treasure Hunt
Little Chicks Treasure Hunt took them around the garden, they had a picture sheet on a clipboard with pictures of dinosaurs Little Chicks had to find the corresponding pictures found around the garden. Then count how many were on the picture and log the number on the sheet.

Dinosaurs
Little Chicks have been researching Dinosaurs, they discovered that the Brachiosaurus was 30metres long.
To put that to scale Little Chicks went out to the garden and measured out 30metres.
They were surprised to find that it was the whole length of the garden.

Physical development
Little Chicks practised their Gross motor skills they were asked to go through the cones, over the gym stool, under the gym stool, balance on the beam and go through the cones. Little Chicks could do this with skill and landed appropriately when jumping off objects.
