Little Chicks showed how good their listening and football skills were today when we had P.E with Kieran from Fleetwood Town.
We played a game where the children had to use small kicks to move their ball around a square. If they went out of the square they lost a point. They also lost points for touching the ball with their hands! To earn 5 points they had to be first to put a given body part on their ball, Kieran would shout, head, back, belly, bum, knee, leg, nose and ear but if he shouted hands and you touched your ball you would lose points.

The children were so good at this game that Kieran decided to teach the children a new skill, one that he has never taught nursery children before! A ‘drag back’. This is used to change direction. The children had to put their foot on the ball, drag it back and turn to follow the ball. They certainly picked this up quickly and Bertie was the star of the drag backs!

Our next game was collecting treasure. The children were split into three teams, red, blue and green, on the whistle the children had to kick their ball to the treasure chest, collect a piece of treasure and take it back to their treasure chest, kicking their ball. When all the treasure was collected, the teams counted their pieces of treasure and the team with the most was the winner. The red team narrowly won both games!
