The children were extremely excited when they came to class this morning and found a package had been delivered. It was marked, 'first class from the North Pole'. Inside was an Elf and a letter. We had the challenge of creating a name for our Elf. As part of democracy, we each had one vote. We voted for the name we thought he should be called. We then created a tally chart to see which name won (this is an introduction to data handling in Maths next week). We as a class think Buddy is going to create lots of Christmas Chaos!

I thought it was going to be an elf . I chose the name Elfie . I think he's going to play hide and seek and we will have to find him when we come back to school in the morning ????

I thought it might have been chocolate in the box. I thought the elf should be called Bob. I think Buddy might put crackers all over the classroom!!

I thought that there was a hot chocolate in the red box. I thought his name would be cheeky. I whonder what he will do.

I was super excited about the box from the North Pole, there was a elf in it. I wanted the elf to be called Sparkle because it's sparkly! I think he is going to climb on the cupboards like Spiderman.

I thought Santa was in the red box. I thought his name could be sneaky cheeky. I think he will run on the playground and wake the neighbours singing really loudly.
