Chinese New Year

Little Chicks are learning about Chinese New Year. The role play area is set up with Chinese props the children tried using chopsticks.

Little Chicks traced animals from the Chinese calendar making patterns practising holding the felt tip. Little Chicks made a Chinese red envelope its tradition to give a red envelope with a coin in for good luck.

Little Chicks acted out being a Chinese Dragon. We looked at the Chinese calendar and found out the children's zodiac sign.
