- Lancashire Dance Festival 2016 Video
On Wednesday 16th November 2016 some dancers across school took part in the Lancashire Dance Festival at Preston Guild Hall. 65 schools applied to take part and we were 1 of 14 Primary Schools who were selectred to take part based on our application. The theme this year was 'Once upon a time, stories and literature'. We chose the book 'Matilda' by Roald Dahl. Our dance explores the character Matilda and her journey through school with Ms Trunchbull along with her school friends including Amanda Thripp. The dance then ends with her meeting Miss Honey.

I liked the scruffy school uniform and the theme of the dance I loved the way Matilda reacted with the song. The children did a wonderful job they should be proud of themselves well done to everyone.

I loved Wednesday! First i travelled with Poppy to the Guild Hall, then we practiced all afternoon in the holding room. After, we went to our seats and watched all the other schools doing their dances in part 1. When they finished it was part 2's turn and that was us! So we excitedly waited back stage. THEN WE DID OUR DANCE TO REVOLTING CHILDREN ! I think we all did very well. BEST DAY EVER!

I loved the Matilda dance. Madison was Matilda, Lily was Miss honey, Bella was Amanda thrip and Amy was Miss Trunchbull. I was tired most of the dance but I still enjoyed it. I'm guessing ever body is tired and we need to reahers another dance which is the theme Greeks.

The dance was great . I really,really enjoyed performing it . I hope all the audience enJoyed it too . I am soooo happy I am in the dance festival , I think tomorrow we will do amazing because the Greek dance is super cool . You're a great dance teacher Miss Howarth and all the dancers a great as well .

My cousin Bella is Amanda Thripp, Madison is Matilda and Mrs Trunchball is played by Amy.I'm not sure who plays Mrs Honey.I liked the dance because my cousin and friends are in the show.

It was the best night ever. I travelled with Kitty, Sam sand Jack. When we arrived and saw part 1 which we wasn't in. The dances were amazing at start then it was us but a couple of dances before us. It was us finally, i think we was the best out of the hole dances. Thank you Miss Howarth for teaching us the dance. Your the best teacher ever sand I sure that we made the school very proud.
