What an exciting start to our final week of term. After such a hive of activity of different doors being decorated around our school last week, the children have had the opportunity to begin to write about a door of their choosing. The Door poem, by the poet Miroslav Holub, was such an inspiring starting point for the children to use as a stimulus for writing as well as, of course, the excellently decorated doors around school creating that real sense of awe and wonder. We look forward to the children perfecting their stories over the week and having the opportunity to read them out in class. Some of the children will also be chosen to read out their writing to the whole school. What exciting world is hidden behind your door?
