Year 1/2
Your teachers this year will be Mrs Davis and Miss Cropper. Mrs Davis will be teaching you Mon-Wed and Miss Cropper will teach you Thurs-Fri.
Our other teacher who will be with you all week will be Mrs Moss :)
Our PE days will be on a Tuesday and Friday so please make sure you are wearing a full PE kit for those 2 days. Mrs Davis will teach one session and Miss Cropper will teach the other session.
This half term we are going to be writing non-chronological reports related to safari animals in English and practising multiplication and division in Maths. We will be looking at the history of Blackpool and then in geography we will explore the features of a seaside town. We are going to have a go at digital photography in computing and in Science we are learning about animals including humans.

Please note: if you have any messages for the class teacher, please either email/dojo Mrs Davis or Miss Cropper. You can always catch them on the door in the morning or after school also. Reading journals aren't always checked daily.
Homework will be set on a Friday and this will be posted on Class Dojo. Our homework is set via Ed Shed and this links closely to our spelling/phonics rules and Maths activities will link to what we are doing in class. Reading should be done every night - please look at characters feelings, spot tricky words, phonics sounds and discuss what is happening in the story to gauge whether your child has fully understood the story they are reading. Alongside this, please access TTRS/Numbots daily and IDL for reading practice.
