On Friday 6th Januray 2017, Owls and the rest of school had an exciting first day after the Christmas holiday; it was Design and Technology Day.

Our classic novel is Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. We designed and made workhouses for our display. We also started to collage Oliver Twist.

What did you find out about Charles Dickens? What do you like so far about Oliver Twist? What did you like about DT Day? How did you make your workhouse?

I loved DT day. I found out that Charles Dickens is a very famous author. I learned that Oliver Twist lives in an orphanage with the nasty Mr Bumble. He has a very hard life. I have got my own book of Oliver Twist and I am going to get the DVD.

What I most enjoyed about dt day was making our workhouses in groups of five.

I learnt that Charles dickens was a very famous author who wrote lots of classic book novels.

What I like the most so far about Oliver Twist is that Oliver Twist gets the longest straw so Oliver has to ask mr Bumble for more.
